Abdulla holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Production and Operations Management along with an Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering from Boston University, and brings over four decades of comprehensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry to his advisory role for ESSMarine.
His tenure at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) as Senior Vice President of the ADNOC Group HSE is a testament to his profound expertise in diverse sectors, including upstream and downstream operations, seismic exploration, production operation, gas processing, drilling, and management of oil storage and export terminals.
With a career spanning strategic business planning, support, health, safety, and environment (HSE), emergency and crisis management, enterprise risk management, and security, his contributions have been pivotal across various facets of the industry. Abdulla has been an influential member of several high-level HSE & People Development Steering Committees and Forums, such as those for ADNOC Group Operating Companies and the GCC Oil & Gas Companies HSE Steering Committee. His role extended to the ADNOC Group Risk Management Committee and the Rabdan Academy.

In a leadership capacity, Abdulla has chaired significant conferences and exhibitions, including the first Sustainability Conference in the UAE, various SPE HSE International Conferences, and Process Safety Conferences. As Chairman for conferences under the International Society of Automation and Envirospill, and through engagements with ADIPEC HSE programs, IOSH, and MEOS, he has consistently driven industry advancements. His presentations on HSE, business continuity, crisis and risk management, and security have made notable impacts on national and international stages.

Dedicated to environmental causes, Abdulla also served a two-year term as Chairman of the Regional Clean Sea Organization (RECSO), highlighting his commitment to sustainability and environmental protection in the maritime domain.
